Our initial checks show your address can access the nbn network, but we’ll need to confirm this with nbn co. Telstra services on the nbn network are not available to all areas or premises. In areas serviced by nbn co Telstra may be required to connect services onto the nbn network. Once you are connected to nbn fibre, you won’t be able to move to our copper fixed network.
An nbn service can never go faster than the maximum line speed available at your premises, so for FTTN/B customers we will confirm your actual speeds after connection if your typical speed will be limited. Actual speeds will be slower and will vary due to a number of factors including hardware and software configuration, source and type of content downloaded, the number of users and performance of interconnecting infrastructure not operated by us.
Our standard installation includes self-installation of your modem, minimum eligibility criteria apply. Extra charges may apply for non-standard or professional install of Telstra and nbn co equipment and for premises in new developments.
If you have a back-to-base medical, security or fire alarm, or lift phone, please speak to your provider to confirm it will work on the nbn network. Please register any medical alarms on nbn co’s Medical Alarm Register at nbn.com.au/medicalregister or call 1800 227 300, for further support when moving to the nbn network. Please also tell us if you have an alarm when booking your appointment.
